Health Policy Initiative Vietnam, HCMC Office
Health Policy Initiative Vietnam (HPI Vietnam) is a five-year project funded by USAID/PEPFAR under the global Health Policy Initiative and implemented by Abt Associates. HPI is designed to assist the collaborative efforts of the Government of Vietnam, U.S. Government, civil society organizations (CSOs), and other stakeholders to develop and implement evidence-based and best practice-driven laws, policies, plans, and programs for HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment and impact mitigation in Vietnam. HPI Vietnam is seeking well qualified and experienced Vietnamese citizens to fill a Program Officer position.

Leadership for Results (L4R) in HIV prevention and control

“Leadership for Results (L4R) in HIV prevention and control”

The Central Commission for Popularization and Education, the responsible agency
of the Project – “Strengthening the Party Leadership and Multisectoral
Collaboration for successful implementation of the National Strategy in HIV/AIDS
Prevention and Control to 2010”, is looking for an international consultant to
implement independent impact assessment of the L4R programme to identify impact,
challenges, implementation progress and to review and select basing on the
Breakthrough Initiatives for the model replication in other localities with
participation of mass associations and PLHIV.

Attached are the Terms of Reference.

The Health Policy Initiative (formerly the POLICY Project) is funded by the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) and is implemented by the Constella Futures, in collaboration with the Centre for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA), White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood (WRA) and World Conference on Religion and Peace (WCRP).

In Vietnam the Health Policy Initiative is working in the area of HIV/AIDS. We are now seeking highly qualified and appropriately experienced Vietnamese national for an HIV/AIDS Program Officer position for our Hanoi office

Project Officer, Mine Action and Model Demonstration

Purpose of the Post:

Under the guidance of the Chief of Child Injury Prevention Section, provide assistance for the implementation, and monitoring of the “Mine Action” and “Model Demonstration” projects within the Injury Prevention Programme.

Major duties and Responsibilities:

Provides support to ministerial and provincial counterparts for the implementation of the project workplan.Manages operational procedures to ensure workplan implemented within its timeframe and in line with relevant guidelines.Undertakes monitoring of activities. Program Coordinator- Eye Health

BRIEF TERMS OF REFERENCE

(Period: May 2008 to May 2009, renewable annually)

Helen Keller International (HKI) is an international non-governmental organization. Its mission is to save the sight and lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged by combating the causes and consequences of blindness and malnutrition. We do this by establishing programs based on evidence and research in eye health and nutrition.

In Vietnam, we are currently seeking a Program Coordinator to be responsible for the coordination of our Eye Health program. Our eye health program in Vietnam is currently focused on blindness prevention. HKI VN works in partnership with the Ministry of Health, national and provincial level eye hospitals, International NGOs and local institutions to strengthen the national prevention of blindness program, provide technical assistance for eye care training and communication for outreach, implement comprehensive eye care, and provide monitoring and evaluation. HKI Vietnam also focuses on expanding our program portfolio in the areas of nutrition and other areas of eye health.
